SYSTEMATIC KINESIOLOGY

BALANCE. It’s a word I use a lot, with my family, my clients, myself; that constant search to find it in our lives, between work and play, what we eat and drink, between exercise and rest.

But how many of us are aware that we are out of balance? We seemingly cope day to day, ignoring headaches, a bloated tummy, sore muscles, dry patches on our skin. But can we really cope and shouldn’t we be listening to what our bodies are trying to tell us? Every symptom is our body’s way of telling us that we are, in fact, out of balance.

WHAT IS KINESIOLOGY?

Kinesiology taps into the biochemistry of the body enabling us to read levels of imbalance using muscle testing. It looks at the whole person rather than just the symptoms. Your body will then reveal what it needs via muscle response.

For example, IBS could be an emotional issue and/or a food sensitivity, frequent infections could be underlying hormonal imbalances, due to lack of certain nutrients and/or stress, a structural/painful issue in the lower back may be because of an imbalance in the intestines, headaches may originate from a jaw imbalance and so on.

By testing various muscles in the body we can determine which circuits have ‘blown fuses’ in them. For a circuit to work efficiently it needs every component to be firing and playing its part. Using nutrition, meridians, lymphatic and circulatory points we then ’fix’ the fuse and pop it back into the circuit!

Kinesiology should be preventative. To start with, you may well have issues that you’d like to address and that may take us a few sessions to deal with. But ultimately we can use it to prevent the onset of illness and disease and maintain balance in the body.

WHAT CAN WE HELP WITH?

  • Neck and Back Pain
  • Food Sensitivity Testing
  • Irritable Bowel
  • Weight Loss
  • Headaches / Migraines
  • Depression
  • Joint Pain
  • Constant Tiredness
  • Frequent Infections / Illness
  • Fears and Phobias
  • Emotional / Behavioural Issues

WHAT TO EXPECT

Following a general chat about your health a number of muscles will be tested and subsequently ’fixed’ using massage-like techniques. You will remain fully clothed, but trousers (preferably not jeans) are recommended.

A number of nutritional supplements will be tested and a list of recommended ones will be given to you following your session. For the fixes to hold it is necessary that you take these supplements. You are welcome to bring along any supplements that you are currently taking or food stuffs that you suspect you may be intolerant too, and we can test these too.

Sarah Duley is a Diploma level Kinesiologist. Sessions are 90 mins at £95 on Fridays from 10am - 4pm.
